Company History
John R. Elander Sr. started the business in 1920. He had immigrated from Sweden around the turn of the century. In the mid 1960s his son, John R. Elander II, carried on the family business and coined the phrase "Don't move...improve!" as a registered trademark when residential remodeling began to gain popularity. John R. Elander III is the current owner and the 3rd generation to operate the business. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1986 with a Civil Engineering Degree. The Elander family has been improving homes throughout Massachusetts for over 90 years and continues to take pride in doing so.
